Master Tonic
Treatments: Sore Throat, Cold & Flu Symptom Relief
Directions: Take 1 - 2 teaspoons at the first sign of symptoms, up to four times daily. Works especially well when taken before bed, after brushing teeth.
This tonic is a miracle cure-all medicine. Since taking this for the first time three years ago at the first sign of sickness, I have not been ill a single time. I consider that to be an honest to goodness miracle.
To make this is simple:
Get about 1/2 lb. each of fresh horseradish root, onion, garlic, the hottest peppers you can find (i.e. habanero), and ginger root. Mince all ingredients in a blender, food processor, or meat grinder. Add all ingredients to a 2 quart mason jar, or larger if needed. Cover ingredients with raw apple cider vinegar. Cover the jar(s) tightly and let sit for 2 months, shaking them every so often to help mix everything up. You can sneak a bit out here and there as needed, but at the end of 2 months (or longer) it's time to strain the vinegar out and bottle it. I save the apple cider vinegar bottles and refill them with the fermented tonic.
* This tonic will last forever - no need to refrigerate.
SSKI
(Super Saturated Potassium Iodide)
Treatments: Used as a cough expectorant to treat a substantive mucousy cough.
Directions: Mix 5-8 drops in a couple tablespoons of water and drink. Take up to 3 times daily.
It is prohibitively expensive to buy this ready-made, but it is super easy to make at home. Take 2 oz. distilled water and mix in Potassium Iodide Powder about 1/2 tspn at a time until it won't dissolve anymore. This makes the water "super saturated", and yields a concentration of about 65 mg Potassium Iodide per drop. Pour the resultant liquid into a 2 oz. glass dropper bottle. Store in a medicine cabinet.
Ear Oil Relief
Treatments: Ear infection or sore ear.
Directions: Lay head flat and drop 7 drops in each ear. Wait 30 seconds before moving after each application. Rolled bath tissue or q-tips may be used to clean excess oil from ears.
This oil is basically olive oil infused with fresh garlic. You can make your own by warming oil on low heat on the the stovetop and adding several cloves of crushed garlic. Let stay warm on stove for 10 minutes, then let cool to room temperature and strain. Be sure not to overheat the oil. I like to buy this brand of ear oil because it's high quality, reliable and not too expensive.
My daughter used to get ear infections somewhat regularly. This ear oil takes 4-5 hours to take full effect and relieve pain, but it has always worked 100% of the time, NO ANTIBIOTICS NEEDED!
Neti Pot
Treatments: To relieve sinus pressure, rinse nasal passages, or clear a sinus infection.
Directions: Fill Neti Pot with luke warm water and mix with 1/4 to 1/2 tspn Neti Salt. Add the contents of 1 capsule of these probiotics to help clear a sinus infection.
I used to get sinus infections all the time as a younger person. Once I found the Neti Pot I finally had a natural treatment that worked! I always use a neti pot rinse during high pollen seasons, and when I am feeling particularly sneezy. This sinus rinse kit works particularly well on children if the neti pot is too much.
Raw Probiotics
Treatments: Digestive problems, sore throat, general immune weakness, and used with Neti Pot to cure sinus infections.
Directions: For digestive or immune problems take 2-4 capsules daily. For throat soreness or swollen lymph nodes empty contents of one capsule into your mouth before bed, but after brushing teeth. Try not to drink any liquids after you have taken the powder. For sinus infections, empty contents of one capsule into Neti Pot water before use.
These are simply the best probiotics that we have used. Order them on Amazon, or even better you can find them refrigerated in stores like The Vitamin Shop. These are great for helping with digestive and immune issues, and we have used them with great success for curing a sore throat. My preferred method for sore throat treatment is currently the Master Tonic, but if you don't have a batch of that ready then this is the next best thing.
Essiac Tea
Treatments: Said to cure cancer, enhance detoxification, boost immune function and reduce inflammation.
Directions: Add 2 fluid oz. tea to an equal amount of boiled fresh spring or distilled water. Drink 2 to 4 oz. daily on an empty stomach, preferably before bed.
My own experience with Essiac tea came when I had a nagging cough that just would not go away. After 6 months of trying and failing to cure my cough I came across Essiac Tea as an alternative cleansing therapy. I followed the directions and 2 weeks later my cough was gone, and it never came back. There are some amazing claims being made about this tea, and all I can say is I don't doubt its benefits. From cancer to coughs, this is definitely worth giving a try.
Activated Charcoal
Treatments: Used as a teeth whitening agent, treatment for irritated bowel, diarrhea, and aids detoxification in short term cleansing regimens.
Directions: For digestive problems take two capsules 3 to 4 times daily. For teeth whitening mix contents of one capsule with 2 tbsp. water, then brush teeth thoroughly with mixture. Repeat once weekly.
This is a great item to have on hand for upset stomach, food poisoning, and treating diarrhea. As an added bonus this really does do a great job as a natural teeth whitener.
* This should not be taken internally for an extended period of time because it may leech important minerals from the body.
